We have recently ventured back into the breeding of pigs and have chosen the British Saddle back to be our breed. The is British Saddleback a modern British breed of Domestic pig It was created in 1967 by merging the surviving populations of two traditional Saddleback breeds, the Essex and Wessex Saddleback
The Saddlebacks are hardy, forages well, and has good maternal qualities. It is a dual-purpose breed, used for the production of both pork and bacon.It has secured a niche in outdoor and organic production.
We currently have 4 pigs, called Stacy, Sally, Susie and Shaniqua. They will be bred from when their old enough to increase the herd.
Pigs are highly social and intelligent animals.They are omnivores, which means that they consume both plants and animals. In the wild, they are foraging animals, primarily eating leaves, grasses, roots, fruits, and flowers. Our pigs love Watermelon, Turkish delights and like most woman Chocolate.
